Baltimore, MD Housing Market Trends

With 585,708 people, 242,499 houses or apartments, and a median cost of homes of $217,590, Baltimore real estate values are some of the lowest in Maryland, although compared to real estate around the nation, Baltimore homes are still considered rather expensive.

Row houses and other attached homes are the single most common housing type in Baltimore, accounting for 51.66% of the city's housing units. Other types of housing that are prevalent in Baltimore include large apartment complexes or high rise apartments ( 22.94%), single-family detached homes ( 14.34%), and a few duplexes, homes converted to apartments or other small apartment buildings ( 10.93%).
