Slidell is a medium-sized coastal city (i.e. on the ocean, a bay, or inlet) located in the state of Louisiana. With a population of 28,510 people and 19 associated neighborhoods, Slidell is the 16th largest community in Louisiana.Unlike some cities where white-collar or blue-collar occupations dominate the local economy, Slidell is neither predominantly one nor the other.
